“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”- Zig Ziglar
I love goals, goals are great, goals are what keep your eyes on the prize. However, having goals does not mean that you miss what is right in front of you, living the present is key to reaching your goals. Enjoying the moment, the journey, is what life is truly about.
I have had thoughts on what it would be like for someone to wave a magic wand and make all my challenges go away, and I decided that I would not want that for me, that I enjoy the feeling of having earned something. The challenges are what make life fun-at least in my case-I love being able to use my heavenly given power to overcome adversity. I see it as sharpening your tools, life throws some curve balls at you so that you may remember your power or strengthen it.
Have goals, have dreams, but don’t obsess so much over tomorrow that you forget about today. Don’t obsess so much about outcome that you forget to play. Don’t stress so much that you forget that you are blessed. Remember to breathe.
