I’m doing a 21 day juice fast; when my teacher mentioned it my ego immediately wondered ‘How am I going to do that? That sounds difficult’ but my higher self was already set on doing it, and so it was. I decided that I would do it this month because I’ve had great spiritual changes happen during this month in the past. I asked him all the questions necessary in order to make sure that I did it right and prepared my body for it. I prayed to my creator and I asked my body for permission.

It is now day two of my juice fast and I feel very energized, I don’t miss food at all, which may sound surprising. I am amazed at my body and how well it is taking it, it also makes me appreciate it more and realize how important it is to take care of it-we only get one body after all. It is also the vehicle with which I carry out my mission on this earth and in a way I am humbled by that.

I’ve also become aware of how easily the ego can make something seem unreachable or difficult when in reality it is not. When my teacher highly recommended this fast I knew that I had to try it in order to test it out myself, and I’m so grateful that I did. Empirical evidence, I learned this in community college-nothing beats firsthand experience. If something seems too challenging, test it out, and see how real that limit is, you may just surprise yourself. The power of the mind is amazing when you learn how to use it to your advantage.
