My recipe for health

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear”-Buddha

The following is a list of things which I practice and have found helpful in my life personally, it is not for everyone, just like anything else-you pick and choose what’s for you and make it your own. Enjoy!

  • Remove processed food from your diet- if you are constantly eating unhealthy food it is not only going to add more weight to your body, but it will also weigh your soul down because the energy that you ingest has an effect on your state of being. It is ok to eat something that you crave but may not necessarily be healthy every once in a while, so long as you don’t do it all the time, just keep a nice balance.
  • Get moving- do some form of exercise be it walking, jogging, hiking, or even dancing! Find something that you enjoy doing that involves movement and do it! It helps keep your body energized and feeling good, your body is with you for the span of your life, so invest in it.
  • Have a person who you can confide in- keeping feelings jumbled up inside can be heavy on your spirit, so having someone who you can open up to is healthy for your spiritual life. When emotions don’t find an outlet they start appearing as illness within your body, so find someone who you can trust to help you unload some of that stress and find inner peace.
  • Spirituality- invest and anchor some of the time you have on earth to that source you may call God/universe/spirit or whatever you may believe that is the reason for your existence. Having an equal balance between life as an earthling and a life as a spiritual being on earth is important; it helps to remind you that everything is temporary and that in the end you take nothing from this earth but experience.
