Inner bliss

“To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment.”- Eckhart Tolle

Having a journal has helped me see certain patterns in my life, thus allowing me to know myself even better. Being able to understand my life and its pattern has allowed me to do things in order to improve my life and make better decisions; things like this have allowed me to experience more happiness in life because I am able to see how much power I have in my life in contrast to being the victim. Of course God/the universe has a hand in this but to be able to know that I can choose to align my will with the creator to live a more fulfilling life that not only pleases me but also allows me to serve my highest purpose is quite empowering and liberating. It is this bliss which I feel many people seek, but the problem may be that people look for this bliss outside of themselves in temporary pleasures, relationships, etc., when in reality the love that they are looking for lies within. It is God’s/the universe’s perfection in having created human beings in this manner, placing all that is needed in order to complete their journey within their being, their heart. To place one’s happiness outside of oneself is setting one for failure because everything in life is temporary; however the love of God and oneself is eternal. This is the reason why establishing a good relationship with yourself and your creator is very beneficial to leading a happy life, suffering is not a necessary part of life, it is optional, just choose God and find out what true bliss really is, it lies within.
